For silly that it seems (and it is), some considerations on the pairings of my newest anime obsession: Gundam 00. Because [info]levyrasputin bravely asked for them.

Utena

Considering that in few days I'm going to cosplay Shizuru Viola from Mai Otome, I'm not at all surprised of this result ^_^

you are violet
#EE82EE

Your dominant hues are red and blue. You're confident and like showing people new ideas. You play well with others and can be very influential if you want to be.

Your saturation level is lower than average - You don't stress out over things and don't understand people who do. Finishing projects may sometimes be a challenge, but you schedule time as you see fit and the important things all happen in the end, even if not everyone sees your grand master plan.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.

Fanfic WTF!?

Someone called me "cruel" for having paired her favorite character with someone she despised so much in the fandom. Considering that the couple I wrote about was THE canon couple, I found said email quite creepy. Cool, she made me feel like J. K. Rowling who got hate letters for the pair Lupin/Tonks (that I find made of awesome, btw).
I had a good laugh, and suggested the good girl to have a life out of here.

God, to write fanfictions is one of the best hobby ever, but shipping wars are so utterly annoying :-)

I got this by sms. Dress in red and forward!

«In support of our incredibly brave friends in Burma: May all people around the world wear red shirt on Friday 28. Please forward!»

For more information: The Saffron Revolution

“FEAR”, the lady used to say, “is a habit.” This week, inspired in part by the lady herself, Aung San Suu Kyi, partly by the heroic example set by Buddhist monks, Myanmar's people kicked the addiction.

Defying the corrupt, inept, brutal generals who rule them, they took to the streets in their hundreds of thousands to demand democracy. They knew they were risking a bloody crackdown, like the one that put down a huge popular revolt in 1988, killing 3,000 people or more. In 1988 Burma's people were betrayed not just by the ruthlessness of their rulers, but also by the squabbling and opportunism of the outside world, which failed to produce a co-ordinated response and let the murderous regime get away with it. This time, soldiers are once again shooting and killing unarmed protesters (see article). Can the world avoid making the same mistake twice? (The Economist, Sep 27th 2007)

January was crazy! Work, real life, the preparation for my next two cosplays... and my website! Last week I started to think that I could gather all my fanfics togheter, updating my old website at geocities, and I ended up building a brand new one. Took me the whole weekend to learn how to use a reliable software but finally it's almost done. Well, considering it's my first time I'm quite satisfied.

And for S. Valentine... eheh... I post here for you pleasure (well, perhaps ;-)), a story I've had in mind since I read Hellsing for the first time.
It's nothing serious, just something creepy to spice up your otherwise fluffy S. Valentine day ;-)

After the cut,  Bloody Sleeping Beauty (as usual, all the characters belongs to Hirano Kouta. Betareading by Kevin, because he insisted...)

Is it enough a kiss, Sir Integra, to wake up a Bloody Sleeping Beauty? )

New year and Black Blood Brothers amv

  • Jan. 5th, 2007 at 8:52 PM

Hello, hello!

My long Christmas vacation is over :-( I had fun, though! Visiting friends, eating and sleeping too much, and being lazy. For 2007 I'll try to read more, finish my Utena fanfiction (shame on me...), be more focused at work, and waste less money. Well, this last one will be difficult :-P

What I bring in this new year is a brand new amv. Black Blood Brothers is the series and Angels by Within Temptation the song.

Angels of Black Blood Brothers
Pairings: CassaxJirou & MimikoxZelman

Making this amv I've realized that Within Temptation is an awesome band (especially their album The Silent Force) and  the couple MimikoxZelman is totally too hot. Probably because she seems so innocent and  the read-head so wicked. I adore their contrasting attitudes. This could possibly lead to an interesting fanfiction... ^_^
Nagi
I want to wish an happy Christmas to those who celebrate it and a new year of peace to all the rest of the world. :-)

I dedicate my Christmas to Piergiorgio Welby, a good and proud man who died two days ago and who fought for the right to have a merciful death. He suffered for almost 10 years, attached to respiratory machine against his will when, finally, his doctor satisfied his desire to die, and to die painless, unplugging him and giving terminal sedation. Their act of rebellion has been severely punished: the Vatican has refused Piergiorgio the religious funeral (even if his was not exactly a suicide) and his doctor will be charged of homicide. His story is here.
It's long to explain, but here in Italy we don't have the right to refuse life-sustaining treatment and, of course, things as physician-assisted suicide and even terminal sedation are illegal and considered (a view strongly influenced by the Vatican) equal to euthanasia.
I don't want today to discuss here their position or why I strongly oppose their view, I just want to wish Piergiorgio's family a serene Christmas and a buon viaggio to Piergiorgio...

I'm truly at a loss of words to describe what it is happening in these days in Italy.

Last year the Christian lobbies moved against a referendum (supported by 4 millions of voters) that would have modified the aberrant Law 40.

And now, what do you think the results are? Of course that people who can just book a flight to some other European country and they move there to have the cures they can't obtain here.

One could wonder if, for the religious hierarchies it's ininfluent that those who can are also those who were more helpful in sinking the referendum and promoting the Law 40, statistically the more conservative (and rich) part of our society.
But probably the Cardinals will only ask them to recite 100 Ave Maria, patronizing in the same time those who are stuck here because they can't afford the trip and thus condemned to have ill children.
Apparently (and against every Christian teachings) here in Italy the poverty is a sin and those who are poor are condemned to suffer in every possible way.

And to add insult to injury, even the former Christian Democrat Party is also on the rise.
who? )
I laugh at my boyfriend, when he says that in US the Christian lobbies are strong....

It's all the day long that I try to change the layout of my journal but I can't find one satisfying :-( And I'm too lazy to learn how to design one.
I think I'll keep this Component-Orange Soda for a while, the combination of orange and brown is a bit weird  but not too unpleasant.
And orange is officially the color of the winter 2006/2007... I'm a hopeless fashion victim :-P

Star Wars Fanfiction

I participated with a story to a fanfiction movie contest, with "The seasons" as main theme.
I had few time to work on it so I wrote down a short story about Star Wars, with Darth Maul (my favorite villain) as main character.
Unfortunately my betareader is currently out of town (really out of continent...), so you'll probably find tons of mistakes. Sob... I'm sorry but grammar classes made me sleep every time ;-)
